GET RID OF BAD SKIN WITH THIS!!

DISCLAIMER:
I am not a beauty, nor medical expert. I suggest you consult your GP before trying this product, or at least test it by applying a tiny bit behind your ear and wait a minimum of 5 days for any reaction.

March 2018 I sustained some injuries which left me with bruises, a slight rash and tiny spots. I rarely get breakout's let alone anything else and so, if I do, they can look pretty unsightly, especially when on my face!

Not really knowing how to get rid of what looked like way too many pizza toppings on certain parts of my body, alongside a batch of really awful grazes, I asked friends and family for help and one of them recommended Distilled Witch Hazel which some of you may actually already be familiar with.

It’s great for scarring, the burn-like marks us women sometimes develop underneath our breasts, it does wonders for cuts and other blemishes on the body, is great for broken skin and has been an absolute gem of a treat for my face! I cannot recommend it enough!!

Along with some other products that have been good to my skin for years, this particular concoction is literally the remedy of ALL remedies and is a great addition to my daily face cleanse routine.

Grab a bottle from Boots, Superdrug, Wilko, or your local Pharmacy/Drugstore because, it will last a very long time too, as only a small amount is required [unless, of course, you have an extreme case] and it doesn’t leave any residue behind. The scent is quite faint, however, it can be a tad drying so, you will need to moisturize the affected area afterwards with whatever cream, or product, that will further heal and protect.

Give your skin a new lease of life. Literally!

WHY GOALS ARE BETTER THAN RESOLUTIONS

Okay, so, let's first establish the difference between the two because, I imagine that to be the very question which came to your mind when you read the title of this post...

Resolutions are a list of things you will do; a definite decision to make certain changes, effective immediately, with the aim to have those changes be indefinite. In three words - a dedicated promise!
No junk food.
Quit smoking.
Read 2 books per month.
Visit a new place once a fortnight.

Goals are a list of things you can work towards achieving over a period of time; the marrying of conscious effort with ambition.
Try nicotine patches.
Choose healthier foods.
Set aside 10 minutes a day to read.
Explore somewhere new, that is local, once a month.

So many of us are unable to commit to our 'resolutions' and I believe that's down to putting ourselves under unnecessary pressure to make [often big] changes too quickly and this can actually have a devastating impact, which can then leave you feeling negative towards yourself and your potential to achieve.
With goals, you're taking certain steps to achieve your aims at a steady, focused, relaxed, albeit committed, pace. A process of gradual improvements, I believe, will lead to better results which can be maintained long-term.

For example, in January 2010 I woke up one day and said [to myself], "I'm going to start exercising every day, I will also stop eating sweets and crisps, I won't consume any alcohol, I'll start meditating before bed and I'm going to start blogging"... Yeah, didn't happen. I started and within about 3 days had stopped. It was too much, too soon and a very unrealistic set of targets to achieve instantly. Essentially, I was trying to give my life a complete overhaul and thought the best way was to have a list of 'resolutions' that would somehow, automatically, hold me accountable. Here's the thing: there is nothing, nor anybody, that can ensure I achieve whatever I set out to. It's all on me!

I found, through some trial and error, that the best, most successful, way to reach my aims is to set out goals with a plan of action for each one. Having a clear method for gradual change, over a realistic time frame, is far more beneficial and sustainable. It doesn't matter how long it takes, what matters is that I get those boxes ticked and that's exactly what I have been doing. Praise Jah!

PEOPLE ARE MORE LIKELY TO MAKE PROGRESS ON GOALS THAT ARE BROKEN INTO CONCRETE, MEASURABLE ACTIONS, WITH SOME KIND OF STRUCTURED ACCOUNTABILITY AND POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT - taken from The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.

In the words of Kano, "more life, more life".  None of us want to be confined to the super strict regiment of a new routine that we think will quickly bring about the changes we want. Enjoy the actual fruits of your 'labour'. Slow and steady really does win the race! List your goals, outline a plan of action for each, note down the realistic steps you can take to achieve them and then begin. You've got this more than you realise! x

7 STEPS FOR SURVIVING 2019

I'm not going to proclaim, "this will be my year!". Instead, I am just going to get on with it!! That said; I do feel this year will be one of significant change, events, turning points, developments and growth, for everyone, in some way, shape, or form.

I intend to make sure that I actively learn from the mistakes I made last year [there were a few, ahem] and apply the lessons religiously throughout 2019! I'm going to try my best...

1. I will put myself at the top of my list!
2. I will further commit to living my authentic truth.
3. I will continue to put social media at the bottom of my list.
4. Each morning, I will remind myself that I am worthy of greatness.
5. I will not talk, or tweet, for the sake of doing so. I will share consciously.
6. I will own all that I have been, everything I am and all that I want to become.
7. I will do something I've not done before that is entirely out of my comfort zone.

I, mean, while this is in no way a 'certified' Survival Guide, for me, the above is very serious and I am determined to stick with it. What steps are you following to do better this year?

Remember, whatever the obstacles, you've got this! Do not give up on yourself!!
